The Multilingual Department provides leadership, advocacy, and support to district staff, students, and parents by promoting equitable access to language services for students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds who have been identified as English Learners (ELs).

The department works to meet the goal as outlined in the District 187 Strategic Plan of improving the quality, sustainability, and effectiveness of its multilingual learner programs for all ELs.
