At D187, your child’s safety is our top priority. We take the responsibility of getting your child to and from school every day very seriously, and we are committed to providing our students with safe and reliable transportation.
D187 partners with Lakeside Transportation and provides transportation for students who live more than 1.5 miles from the school or have to walk through a board-approved hazardous crossing. Letters will be sent home early in August, notifying parents and guardians if their student is eligible for transportation and the bus stop location.
*due to the declassification of several Hazardous Crossings, some students may no longer qualify for transportation.
