Strengthening our Workforce Ecosystem

On Monday, April 11, 2016, the Lake County Board held their 3rd annual Leaders Summit at the Holiday Inn in Gurnee. More than 175 government, business, academic and civic leaders came together for an update on the significant progress being made in Lake County, including advancing transportation and economic development solutions.  North Chicago High School was highlighted as part of the opening video at the conference.  Specifically, the work being done by NCCHS and District 187 around career pathways development was applauded.  The panel of experts at the conference agreed that career pathways programs, like the one at NCCHS, are important parts of workforce development and the overall ecosystem of Lake County.
