Forrestal Elementary School Second Grade Veterans Day Performance
On Friday, November 10th, Forrestal Elementary School held a Veterans Day performance to honor those serving our country. Second-grade students sang, recited poems, and danced for a packed audience of Forrestal families and K-3 students. They also presented each veteran with a red poppy. The red poppy symbolizes both remembrance and hope for a peaceful future. Poppies demonstrate support for the Armed Forces community.
Forrestal staff created a welcoming environment, showing veterans how much we appreciate their service. The students worked hard on the performance, and afterward, students and veterans met, greeted, and took pictures together. Many students thanked the veterans for their service.
Thank you to Principal Kranz and everyone who attended!
