Ms. Loida Conseco is a community member who is leading an effort to improve the public park areas in North Chicago. She connected with Mayor Rockingham and obtained his support for an art contest for elementary students. The students at Alexander participated in the art contest by drawing a picture that encouraged the community to take care of the parks and a winner from each grade level was chosen. The students painted their artwork on a large wooden board which will be displayed at parks around the community. Look at how amazing their artwork is!
