Yesterday, the North Chicago Community High School auditorium filled with students as we celebrated Senior Decision Day! It was a chance for our graduating Class to take center stage and share their plans for the future.
Warhawk Lancers
The assembly kicked off by acknowledging the remarkable achievements of our Warhawk Lancers. North Chicago Public Education Foundation Executive Director Tracey Horwich led the presentation, recognizing these outstanding seniors who consistently demonstrated exceptional spirit, leadership, and academic excellence throughout their high school years.
Honoring Our Military-Bound Heroes
The assembly also included a heartfelt salute to seniors who will embark on a different service. Deputy Superintendent Oscar Hawthorne joined us to honor those committed to serving our nation by joining the military.
Introducing the Class of 2024
Then came the moment everyone was waiting for! Mr. Vaughn took center stage and introduced each graduating senior. As their names echoed through the auditorium yesterday, each student stepped forward to share their plans for the future. We heard about exciting college choices, trade schools offering specialized skills, and ambitions to launch directly into the workforce. Each journey was unique, and each student radiated a sense of excitement and purpose.
A Launchpad for Success
This Senior Day assembly wasn't just about destinations – it was a celebration of the hard work, dedication, and resilience displayed by each Class of '24 member. Yesterday served as a reminder that North Chicago Community High School will always be a home base for these young adults. We are proud of the individuals they've become and have no doubt they'll achieve incredible things.
